Terms of Service
Announcio LLC Effective: September 4, 2026 Last updated: September 4, 2026
1. Who these terms are between
Announcio is operated by Announcio LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("Announcio", "we", "us").
These terms cover two different kinds of user, and some sections apply only to one:
- A Club is the organization that subscribes to Announcio — typically a booster club, parents club, or similar volunteer organization supporting a youth sports program. The Club is our customer.
- A User is an individual who accesses Announcio, including club administrators and parents or guardians of participating athletes.
By using Announcio, you agree to these terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of a Club, you confirm you're authorized to do so.
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an Announcio account. Announcio is not intended for use by children, and children do not receive accounts.
2. What Announcio does
Announcio provides software that helps a Club manage its administration: athlete rosters, family account balances, competition and event calendars, announcements, volunteer coordination, fundraising records, and an online store.
We provide the software. The Club runs its own organization. We are not a party to the relationship between a Club and its families, and we do not control, verify, or take responsibility for the accuracy of information a Club enters.
3. Accounts and access
Accounts are created by a Club, not by self-registration. A Club administrator adds a family and sends an invitation; the recipient signs in by email link. There are no passwords.
Anyone with access to the email address on an account can access that account. Keep your email secure.
You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without authorization.
We may suspend or terminate access to any account that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully, abusively, or in violation of these terms.
4. The Club's responsibilities
If you're a Club, you agree that:
a. You have the right to the data you enter. You will only add information about athletes and families where you have the authority and any necessary consent to do so. You are responsible for informing your families that their information is stored in Announcio and for providing them a copy of our Privacy Policy.
b. Your data is accurate. We display what you enter. Account balances, charges, and volunteer hours shown to families come from your records, not ours.
c. You handle your own compliance. This includes your tax status, sales tax obligations on merchandise, charitable solicitation registration, nonprofit reporting, and anything else arising from how you operate. We do not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. Merchandise sales may create sales tax obligations regardless of your organization's tax-exempt status; consult your own advisors.
d. You manage your own administrators. You decide who has access and what permissions they hold. You are responsible for revoking access when someone leaves your board.
e. You will not use Announcio unlawfully, including to collect money you are not entitled to collect, or to store information you have no right to store.
5. Payments
Where enabled, Announcio processes payments through Stripe. By using payment features you also agree to Stripe's terms.
a. How payments work. Announcio acts as the merchant of record and payments are settled to the Club's connected Stripe account. Payment card information is handled by Stripe and is never stored by Announcio.
b. Fees. Payment processing fees are disclosed at the point of payment and are charged to the payer. Subscription fees for the Club, where applicable, are as agreed with the Club.
c. Refunds and disputes. Refunds are the Club's decision and the Club's responsibility. Announcio does not adjudicate disputes between a Club and a family about whether money is owed, what a charge was for, or whether a refund is due. Direct those to your Club.
d. Chargebacks. If a payer disputes a charge with their card issuer, we may recover the disputed amount and any associated fees from the Club.
e. Store purchases. Items purchased through a Club's store are sold by the Club. The Club is responsible for fulfilling orders, for the accuracy of product descriptions, and for any warranty or return obligations. Announcio does not fulfill orders and does not hold inventory.
6. Content you provide
You keep ownership of everything you put into Announcio — rosters, announcements, photos, records.
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train machine learning models.
You are responsible for content you upload. Do not upload anything unlawful, infringing, or that you lack the right to share — including photographs of children you do not have permission to share.
We may remove content that violates these terms or that we're legally required to remove.
7. Your data, and getting it back
The Club's data belongs to the Club.
While your subscription is active, you can export your roster and financial records at any time using the export features in the app.
If your subscription ends, we will retain your data for 30 days so you can export it, and will delete it thereafter unless we're required to keep it longer. Ask us and we'll help you get a copy.
We take daily backups retained for 7 days. Backups are for disaster recovery, not for restoring individual deletions. Deleting data in the app may be permanent — we are not able to recover individual records you delete.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Announcio available, but we don't promise it will be. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control, including failures of the third-party services we rely on.
Announcio is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
a. Announcio LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data.
b. Our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Announcio will not exceed the greater of (i) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (ii) $100.
c. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You acknowledge that these limits are a fundamental part of the agreement and reflect the price of the service.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Announcio LLC from claims arising out of: your content; your use of the service in violation of these terms or the law; your relationship with your families or members; or your tax, regulatory, or organizational obligations.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Announcio at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, if we're required to by law, or if continuing to provide the service would expose us or others to harm. Where practical, we'll give notice first.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email to Club administrators, or by notice in the app. Continuing to use Announcio after changes take effect means you accept them.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Trumbull County, Ohio, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
